Welcome Back.
It’s been quite awhile since my last post on tadfad.com. Four months, to be precise. I never gave up on the project; I just let this slide down on my priority list. It’s been long enough. I’m back.
Four months is a long time. What happened?
- I quit my corporate job. There are lots of nice people at my former employer, but over the past three years I learned a very clear message that Corporate America is not for me.
- I landed a new job. I was extremely lucky to find an opportunity through a friend that lined up just about perfectly with my interests and goals. At my old job, I was one of 30,000 employees. Now I am one of 50. A big change in the right direction.
- I did my first solo hike on the Superior Hiking Trail. Six days of hiking does wonders to clear the head and rejuvenate the spirit. I also met some really cool hikers along the way and was reminded that there really are some genuinely nice people out there.
- I put 2,000 miles on the Volvo driving from Milwaukee to Denver to Silver City and back again. The West is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful place.
- I climbed a mountain with a friend, walking into a blizzard at the peak. Now I understand why people die while mountain climbing.

- I scoped out my new apartment in Washington D.C. I’ll be moving in the next few weeks to represent my new employer on the east coast.
I know myself well enough not to make any claims to the frequency of future posts in my little corner of the internet, but I’m hoping not to let another fours months go by leaving tadfad.com quiet.
